Course description

This course takes place every semester. As the course title indicates, this course is based on a simulation game, initially designed by academics of the HEC Montreal. Contrary to other simulation games, this game includes SAP as ERP system to handle the business activities and processes.
Using a continuous-time simulation, students have to run their business with a real-life ERP (SAP S4/HANA) system. The students are divided into teams of 4 members. They have to operate a firm in a make-to-stock manufacturing supply chain and must interact with suppliers and customers by sending and receiving orders, delivering their products, and completing the whole cash-to-cash cycle.

The course is divided into several parts and consists of computer pool sessions and student presentations (presentation language: English).
The overall grade of the seminar results from the quarterly and final presentations as well as the written elaboration of a business plan, a review of the year and a short knowledge test.

Organization and enrollment

The course is completely held in English.
Due to capacity constraints 16 students + 4 Erasmus students can attend this course.
For all participants, it is mandatory to attend all "gaming rounds" as well as the (own) presentations.
Registration for the regular course (schedule below) is possible from 19.03.2026 08:00. The principle is first come, first serve.
